Smart Meters are Here but there is still a chance for an Opt Out
Do you know anything about Smart Meters? You better learn! If you already have one on your house, you CAN get it removed. Insist on an analog meter. You can call the Project Manager, Peter Easler, office # 702-402-6592 or cell 702-290-0265. They will try to talk you out of it, but be FIRM. Insist you want it off because it is has health and privacy issues.
These are surveillance devices. They record all of your energy use by the minute. They can tell when you go to bed, when you go to work, when you are home, when you have visitors. This information can be used by government, police, insurance companies, etc. They can tell if you are doing some remodeling, starting a home business, and more. This info has been used as probable cause to investigate what you are doing in your own home. Also, as a wireless transmission can be hacked into and viewed for a variety of reasons, none of which is good for you. These meters emit radio frequency radiation which can destroy cells.
The Public Utility Commission has opened an investigation because of the information gained through public hearings. We have until Noon on November 18th to turn in our documentation. PUC is having a workshop on December 6. They want them to be mandatory by December 2012 and it will if we don't stop it.
These RF's affect service animals for the disabled and can affect your pets too. The elderly, children, and immune deficient are at greatest risk. Health effects include migraines, nausea, vomiting, muscle spasms, heart palpitations, insomnia, and much more. They can affect pacemakers and wirless insulin pumps, etc. They have been the cause of fires and excessive billing. Why do they want to install them when it costs twice as much for this program than your old analog meter? Information is power. They would like to set up a pricing schedule so that you pay much more for energy during peak hours, but it doesn't stop there. Below are some web sites so you can check it for yourself.

I'm still safe from invasion. I checked it out several months ago & after I found out I didn't have one, pretty much forgot about it. I had no idea there were health risks involved, thanks for the links.

This article is BS! You get RF from your cellphones, microwaves and just about everything around you. We have been living with it since the birth of electricity! As far a privacy issues go, I have to wonder what we all have to hide? This is another example of media hype and panic over false information.

A woman called me this morning to find out if they have to remove her smart meter at her request. She had one installed 3 weeks ago and over 2 weeks ago became ill with an incredible headache. She will be going to her doctor to have it all documented. It won't let up and she is miserable and very angry. She has had no health issues till now. She is calling to have hers removed today.
Another woman called me who ownes an older apartment complex. When smart meters were installed it burned up the wiring and breaker box. The older structures cannot handle smart meter wiring and NVE would not do anything but replace the meter. She had to have repairs done at her own expense.

You may want to check your meter again. They have been installing at an alarming rate. You can post a note on your meter box that you do not give permission to install any surveillance device or smart meter on your house. Sign and date it. You can also call in and tell them you want to be on the delay list. You can see more info at LasVegasTeaParty.org and there is a petition on the site too.

I just went out and looked again...no change. We live on top of a mountain, there is a fence and very large dog inside it. They check my meter from afar & am sure they would have to make an appointment - don't trust em' though, lol
