US Government to Deploy Drones to Watch You!

Here it comes. Did anyone really think that "Big Brother" (Our Government these days) would not deploy drone aircraft to start watching US citizens? When will the American people 'wake up' and see what is happening and put a stop to it?

Drones are hi-tech military aircraft that are 'instruments of war' and should
NEVER be allowed in the United States. Period!

This is a dramatic affront to our freedoms and a dire step by our government against the people of this country. If this does not motivate the people to go to the streets and demand it not be allowed to happen what will?

If drones are allowed to be deployed (they actually already have been) America is gone forever.

Charles Krauthammer on Fox News suggested that some 'citizen' will shoot one down and become a folk hero along the lines of the Founding Fathers. He also said, "This will become the bane of our existence."

If you don't know what the word 'bane' means here it is, 'something that ruins one's life'.

Take notice everyone! This is a
call to actionfor every citizen of the entire country on the right and the left. This must be stopped forever.

From Fox News:
Privacy concerns as US government rolls out domestic drone rules

Unmanned drones could soon be buzzing in the skies above many U.S. cities, as the federal government appears set to green-light the technology for local law enforcement amid widespread privacy concerns.

The Federal Aviation Administration was scheduled Monday to announce the rules of the sky for these newly licensed drones at dozens of sites across the country. In doing so, the government is taking a tool that has become synonymous with U.S. counterterror warfare in countries like Pakistan and Yemen -- and putting it in the hands of U.S. law enforcement.
Unlike some of the drones used overseas, these will not be equipped with missiles.

They are to be used purely for surveillance. But that alone has raised serious privacy concerns on Capitol Hill and beyond.
"Our Founding Fathers had no idea that there would be remote-control drones with television monitors that can feed back live data instantaneously -- but if they had, they would have made darn sure ... that these things were subject to the Fourth Amendment (protecting individual privacy),"

Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas, told Fox News.
Drones have already been employed domestically. In what was described as the first case where an unmanned drone was used to arrest an American citizen on U.S. soil, a North Dakota SWAT team reportedly borrowed a Department of Homeland Security drone to monitor Rodney Brossart -- who was involved in a 16-hour standoff at his North Dakota farm over six cattle that had wandered onto his property and which he claimed as his own.

The SWAT team apparently used the drone to make sure it was safe to arrest him, though his lawyer has since claimed Brossart was subjected to guerrilla-like police tactics and had his constitutional rights violated.

I listened to a short report on this very thing last week and wondered if it would actually be brought to light. This is definitely a privacy concern for many citizens, and I would assume the more who hear it, the more concern there will be. Using drones along our borders to foil drug runners and illegal aliens is one thing. Expanding that use to oversee law-abiding citizens is quite another. The government doesn't limit itself in anything, so I don't expect they'll limit the use of drones among our citizens either. Thanks for sharing this report. I'm also passing it on.

I watched several videos on the internet about how sophisticated some of these drones are in particular, the very small drone that is about the size of a large dinner plate. They can operate very silently in a small confined area such as in a building and can actually map out the interior of where they are at. They are also capable of avoiding any movement toward them that threatens them. The larger drones will be used for law enforcement at first and move into watching and recording your home and neighborhoods and no doubt the where there looks to be a threat, send in a much smaller drone such as the 8 inch type for for detailed spying on us. These smaller drones are virtually silent and can go undetected around your home. They can also be mounted with a camera system that can view "through" your walls. Wonderful huh, big brother breathing down our necks 24/7.

This doesn't sound logical!  Listen to us!?  What big heads we have!  LOL!!  If the government has deemed that they are too expensive to fly and maintain and be used by the Air Force any longer, then how can we flatter ourselves, to think they would use them to monitor us???  The Air Force has chosen to not use them and use the Manned U-2 Spy Plane instead!  The reasoning is that the U-2/TR-1 is capable and less expensive than the drone (unmanned aircraft) to operate.  We have all the parts, knowledge, and a less expensive operational vehicle, that has been in the inventory for years and it still does the job until this day.  I just don't think so!?!?!?  The small drones however would be capable,  just like it is for the Troops in the field for monitoring enemy troops up ahead!  We could use them to check out an individual, search and rescue, or a rioting mob and makes a lot more sense cost wise.  If there is nothing to hide, why would we worry about these things, other than starting more controvery to anger people in our country?  Why can't we react positively and think about how great the small, handheld model drones might be and how they could save a life or many lives.  They are great for checking out traffic.  Why do we worry so much about privacy if we are not doing anything to worry about.?

Are you kidding? Just joking with us Rod? Just wondering.

The use of drones to monitor US citizens in the United States is clearly unconstitutional and I am sure this will be challenged in the Supreme Court. Lets pray it will not stand.

People "do" need to get upset about this and put a stop to it. People on our side not getting upset in the past is exactly why the country is going down the drain. Somethings are worth fighting for and freedom is one of them.

Don't you think that we have better  and more important things to worry about and spend the taxpayers money on?  Is it unconstitutional to use them on the boarder?  Constitutional or not?  It doesn't matter because it is just a controversial topic that the unreliable press has put out there to give us something to complain about.  It sidetracks our minds from the current issues.  What you might say?  True!!  You will be seeing all kinds of things popping up to try and brainwash you one way or the other.

We need to get our priorties straight, because ultimately your rights will not matter when we are no longer a free nation.  #1 Maybe we should concentrate on winning a War and getting our troops home.  #2 Perhaps we should concentrate on fixing our government and spending problems.  We could go on and on.  So someone explain to us why this privacy issue is so important that it needs to be put ahead of all the other things that need to be fixed!?!?!?

Rod, it matters because just like an oak tree; if you chip away at it long enough and hard enough, it will come down. Using drones is just another means of removing our freedoms. The administration is using all fronts to chip away at our freedoms; wars, the economy, morality, employment, schools, and undermining everything this country has held dear from the founding. THAT'S why it matters.

The United States has always been a beacon to the rest of the world. We've been the example that all other countries have looked to for guidance as a republic, and nations who wanted democracy have tried to emulate us. Freedoms, in all aspects, are what our military has fought for and given their lives for, for generations. When the government jeopardizes and intrudes on the freedoms of it's citizens, there is nothing else that will remain untouched. THAT'S why it matters.

This corrupt administration is doing everything it can to destroy the United States from the inside out, and gain as much authority over us all before the next election. It needs to stop ... NOW ... or the United States as we've known it, will never recover. It will be a second rate country, just like the rest of the world. I'm not ready to give my freedoms away so easily. THAT'S why it matters!

I totally agree Jason! You hit the nail on the head.

Yes, there are many other issues that are vital as well but that does not mean we should allow this taking of our freedom to be implemented without putting up a fight. Once it is fully put in place then it will be virtually impossible to ever get rid of it. Just like the unmanned speeding cameras in some states. Arizonians fought them with great vigor and now they are gone. That is what needs to be done with the drones. Just like Reagan warned us about, the government slowly (and secretly often) takes away one freedom after another hoping we won't notice and before you know there is no more America and people are not free.

Rod where are you getting the information that we are going to stop using drones because they cost too much? I have never seen that. All I hear about is that we are using them more and more. It has become our prime weapon of choice to take out terrorists.
