For those who aren't yet familiar with Paul Ryan, I'm offering two short videos. Being from Wisconsin and having relatives who live near him, I've had the privilege of following his career for awhile now, and I've been very impressed. He is truly brilliant, yet his brilliance isn't in the way he can remember facts or comprehend something as complex and detailed as the U.S. economy, and how it works. His brilliance is in his ability to explain those facts in ways each of us can understand.

Having grown up in a family where character, ambition, integrity, trust, respect, and honesty were instilled and promises were kept, Paul Ryan isn't a politician. He's a principled man who just happens to be in politics.

This first short video is Rep. Paul Ryan (long before he was being considered as the V.P. candidate) speaking directly to President Obama and Vice President Biden as to why their government healthcare program won't work. You can't help but notice that he's respectful but not intimidated, and that he said the same things then as he is now, indicating he's held to the same ideology and commitment in spite of his recent notoriety. It's a very insightful look as to who Paul Ryan really is and what he stands for.
