Obama does think Americans are stupid and yesterday just proves that point. Another day, another lie - if anyone is so naïve to believe our unemployment rate is now 8.3%, they need to contact a fifth grader to do the math.

It’s not just a minor slip of the pen friends – the Obama Administration deliberately forgot to include 2.8 million Americans who are discouraged and have quit looking for a job, which mea ns they were not counted.

Here’s the actual statistics from the Bureau of Labor – notice the millions that were not counted. Actual unemployment is probably over 15% at this time and almost one fifth of the workforce remain unemployed.
From the labor board February 2012: In January, 2.8 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force, essentially unchanged from a year earlier.(The data are not seasonally adjusted.) These individuals were not in the labor force, wanted and were available for work, and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. They were not counted as unemployed because they had not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey. (See table A-16.) Among the marginally attached, there were 1.1 million discouraged workers in January, little different from a year earlier.

Look at the gloomy employment predictions for 2012. More small businesses are planning to lay off staff in the first quarter of 2012 than take on new employees, according to research by the Federation of Small Businesses Small business unemployment has reached the highest level since 1994. (FSB).

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) laid off roughly 200 employees Wednesday, not a good sign. February 2012, Kraft Foods said Tuesday it would lay off 1,600 workers in North America. American Airlines wants to lay off at least 13,000 employees as part of its bankruptcy reorganization.

Bose Corp. is laying off 200 workers from its speaker plant near Blythewood. UPS said Wednesday it will lay off more than 400 workers.

American Airlines parent company AMR Corp. said Wednesday it would cut 13,000 jobs and close its Fort Worth Alliance Airport maintenance hub as part of a five-year plan to save $3 billion per year.

Vestas to lay off more than 2,300 workers and DALLAS — Texas Instruments will close two of its older computer-chip factories. This is just the tip of the iceberg there are thousands of businesses in the USA who will have to lay off employees just to survive.

The plans by big and small companies to reduce their work force are not just on the horizon; this dangerous trend is due to the Obama Administration’s policies that were deliberately implemented to stop job growth.

So the next time you hear Obama on the campaign trail telling you how good it is – please remember that the only two things he’s campaigning for is: (1) A second term so he can totally destroy our Nation, and (2) More taxpayers’ money for his redistribution agenda.
