Once again we see the extremism of the Liberals/Progressives against religion.

CNN’s Piers Morgan interviewed former Growing Pains star Kirk Cameron and the interview sparked outrage from GLAAD. GLAAD is the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation.

What caused this uproar? Well, of course it was Mr. Cameron’s staunch opposition to the gay and lesbian lifestyle. He dared to present his opinion that homosexuality is “unnatural” and “destructive”. Of course this just emboldened Piers Morgan into the typical limp-wristed Liberal attempt to create a “gotcha” moment.

Mr. Cameron played Mike Seaver on the 1980’s TV show. He is an Evangelical Christian so you know Morgan was going to try and create another “social issue” controversy to fill the blogosphere and media to try and promote Christianities intolerance. Even though the Liberal media claim that we should be concentrating on the economy and jobs they just seem to fall all over themselves to try and exploit any social issue with their biased agenda.

He told Morgan, "I think that it's unnatural. I think that it's detrimental and ultimately destructive to so many of the foundations of civilization. Marriage is almost as old as dirt, and it was defined in the garden between Adam and Eve. One man, one woman for life till death do you part. So I would never attempt to try to redefine marriage. And I don't think anyone else should either”.  He then solidified his position by saying, "So do I support the idea of gay marriage? No, I don't."

Morgan goaded Mr. Cameron by repeating the question at least 5 times. He also tried to get Mr. Cameron to say he would hate his son if he said he was gay. Morgan knows Mr. Cameron’s Christian views and was just trying to bully him into saying what he wanted him to say. Typical Liberal/Progressive manipulation.

In response to the interview, Herndon Graddick, senior director of programs at GLAAD said, “In this interview, Kirk Cameron sounds even more dated than his 1980s TV character. Cameron is out of step with a growing majority of Americans, particularly people of faith who believe that their gay and lesbian brothers and sisters should be loved and accepted based on their character and not condemned because of their sexual orientation.”

Christians love and accept everyone based on their character. We don’t accept views and beliefs that are against our religious beliefs. Our tolerance is best described as “hate the sin, love the sinner”. Gays and Lesbians claim to be seeking tolerance, what they’re really looking for is affirmation. Anything less they call intolerance.

God’s Word in the Bible clearly states homosexuality is wrong. Christians can have compassion for those in bondage to homosexuality, however, we cannot change what God commands. Faith-based groups such as Exodus International have shown high rates of treatment to overcome homosexuality. These are the attitudes of Christian healing and reconciliation and this is the attitude of Jesus.

Jesus illustrated his tolerance in the story of the woman caught in adultery. The leaders brought her to Him as a trap. He realizes their conspiracy and simply explains that the one without sin should cast the first stone. He does not condemn her but rather tells her to, “Go and sin no more”.

Mr. Cameron understands the challenge Christians face today as we try to reassert the Gospel to a world in desperate need of moral clarity. Mr. Cameron did not apologize for his values and beliefs to an overly tolerant world or Piers Morgan, for this he deserves respect. The foundation of our morality is clearly God's love, and that love compels us to value everyone whatever our differences.

We just don’t have to accept it.
