I wasn't a Rubio Fan Until I Went to His Event
I was there. I went with a friend that talked me into going. I wasn’t going to go after Rubio joined with McCain in criticizing Michele Bachmann and others about the State Department/Muslim Brotherhood issue, I had given up on Rubio. My feelings were, SCREW HIM. I couldn’t understand why he would join with the slimy RINO McCain and other POS that castigated Michele Bachmann and the other Patriots that raised good questions about the Muslim Brotherhood security issue within the State Department. Don’t say anything! That doesn’t piss anybody off. Joining with McCain and other RINO’s sure pissed me off. For the life of me, I can’t figure out why he would not support Bachmann and others on that issue. Allen West did! Anyway, my friend convinced me to go and I am glad I did.
After hearing him speak, I decided to overlook this concern. My personal favorite pick for VP is Allen West. But Milquetoast Romney doesn’t have the BALLS to pick him, unfortunately. So, I will settle for Rubio and hope Romney has enough sense to pick him.
My take on the Rubio event in Las Vegas Saturday. He is a very eloquent speaker. No notes, and certainly no Obamaprompter. I sensed the same excitement from the crowd there as I did when I saw Sarah Palin speak in Las Vegas four years ago. They loved him. If you really listen to his speech, you will notice that he can offer something that nobody else can. A real connection between him and the Latino and other ethnic voters. He talked about going to that elementary school in that extremely ethnic Latino neighborhood. He is one of them and they felt it. They connected with him. He spoke about growing up in that deep blue collar ethnic area and everybody there, especially the Latinos hung on every word. I am convinced that he can definitely help Romney with the Latino vote.
Finally, Rubio gets it. He spoke about the Old World. I have never heard any other politician speak of this. Rubio points out that up until about 200 years ago, the World was dominated by a Dictators and Elitists and that most everybody else were servants and extremely poor. Not American poor, but really poor. He is right, I had not thought of that. He stated that because of the founding of America, people that craved freedom now had an option. He understood that the founding of America drastically changed the history of the World for the better. Once again he connected with everybody there. He talked about why everybody wants to come to America. The American Dream. You truly get the sense that he fully understands and appreciates the importance of the American Dream. He, his parents and grandparents lived it. That is a great story he can tell all over the country. He really appreciates the greatness of America and the principals that the Founders set forth.
Bottom line, he can help Romney win. I’m not a big Romney fan but it is vital that he win this next Presidential election. Our Country will not survive four more years of Obama.
P.S. I was the one that took the videos above. Sorry about the shaking and quality. It was my cell phone and I had to hold my phone above my head for about 20 minutes. Even though I am in pretty good shape, my arms still got tired.
