A few months ago, I wrote about the LOST Treaty, a naked 32 year attempt to inflict a world wide wealth redistribution scheme upon the people of the United States. This treaty, under the guise of preserving the Oceans for everybody, like they are going anywhere, sought to levy a tax upon we, the Americans, and no one else, for operating ships, oil rigs, fishing rights, Military passage, cargo transportation, and anything else the Marxists can dream of. This revenue, paid solely by us, would then be redistributed by the U.N., (shocking I know,) to the Marxist regimes around the globe. It would also force us to ask permission for all of these things from a U.N. established body, which means giving up our national sovereignty.

Ronald Reagan fired the State Department official, a Carter era holdover, that brought this treaty back from the U.N. For a quick insight as to why, you can read the entire treaty here. During that previous writing, I implored you to call your Senators to voice opposition to this end of our country as an independent and free nation. It looks like someone called, because there are now 34 Senators, the exact number we need by the way, who have committed themselves to the opposition of this. Thankfully, it is dead for another day. I'm sure we'll see it again.

For the record, and because they deserve a thank you from all of us, here are the 34 Senators who have proven themselves patriots. We should call them one more time to say thank you. We should call the other 66 and let them know we're watching.

Just for the record, there are several names on this list that have been previously identified somewhere as Rinos. For this brave act of patriotism alone, as a member of the 34 who just resigned the Declaration of Independence, they deserve a respite from that charge.

There are several other of these U.N. treaties pending for ratification which will be brought up during the always mischievous Lame Duck Session coming after November's election. Do not give up the diligence. Keep the pressure up, and hopefully these same people will hold strong. One such attempt to force us to pay a global tax, euphemistically labeled to make us all believe it has something to do with disabled children, is up for a vote on Thursday. while it is not as destructive as Lost, it is still another incremental step towards a world wide Socialist Rule for America. Once these treaties are signed, they become law, and are hard as hell to undo.

Part of the Obama/Clinton lame duck strategy, win or lose in November is to saddle us with a bevy of these destructive intrusions into our sovereignty. Even treaties that are not ratified can be enjoined on a temporary basis by Presidential decree. These little fiats basically say, we'll adhere to the terms until Congress votes one way or the other. As long as Harry Reid remains Majority Leader, those votes will never happen.
