I found this story yesterday at The Daily Caller.

Here's what was said in the clip, word for word by EPA Regional Administrator, Curtis Spalding:

“Lisa Jackson has put forth a very powerful message to the country. Just two days ago, the decision on greenhouse gas performance standard and saying basically gas plants are the performance standard which means if you want to build a coal plant you got a big problem. That was a huge decision,”

“You can’t imagine how tough that was, Because you got to remember if you go to West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and all those places, you have coal communities who depend on coal. And to say that we just think those communities should just go away, we can’t do that. But she had to do what the law and policy suggested. And it’s painful. It’s painful every step of the way.”

What Curtis Spalding has just admitted to is that Lisa Jackson, the EPA chief, has decided that since cap and trade did not pass legislatively, she would use existing statutes to rewrite the rules to inflict it upon us anyhow. He also noted how brave her decision was, in light of the fact that many communities in the flyover states known as Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Ohio, and where ever else there are coal burning electric producing plants, or coal mines, or even businesses that transport coal will be destroyed as a result of her bureaucratic rigidity.

There are so many points to be made here, that I will apologize in advance for any that I might be missing, and please feel free to add them to the list. First, notice how cavalier the Obama Administration is about destroying American communities in order to inflict their green ideology upon the rest of us. So much for the little guy that they pretend to care so much about. too bad you folks in Ohio and Pennsylvania didn't donate a years salary to the Zero during his last campaign, then he could have at least lied to you and told you of the wonderful green job your community would benefit from, if those solar and wind plants actually produced sufficient electricity to be worth building in the first place.

For those of you who are thinking, I agree with the green agenda, and my community doesn't depend on coal, nor do I even like the coal industry, wait until you get a load of the coming electricity rates due to arrive this summer. The result of forcing electric producers out of business will be an artificial shortage of the product they used to produce. Either there will be less electricity to go around, in which case it will cost more, or they will raise their prices to offset the EPA's new and vastly increased compliance standards. Either way, I hope you didn't laugh too loud at California during their rolling black outs of the Governor, "Grey Out," Davis era, because it will be coming to your state soon. One thing I have learned about the entitled twit class in this country, they are all for sacrifice when someone else has to make it, but when it is upon them to make that sacrifice, not so much. I have liberal friends who I have recorded at the dinner table announcing that they would be willing to pay $4 per gallon for gasoline if it meant cleaner what ever, but when gas hit that price in the summer of 2007, they were the first and most vociferous in calling for George W. Bush's head.

Please notice also, how the well intentioned law written half a century ago has grown in scope and structure at the whim of the bureaucrat in charge. Who after all wants polluted water or poisoned air to drink and breathe? Get a few women on television testifying with tears in their eyes about how their children are suffering, and blammo, 50 years later, Lisa Jackson has the authority and power to destroy American communities with a stroke of her pen in several states that produce something the rest of America actually finds beneficial. Our elected legislators in Washington have learned years ago the art to making their sweeping legislation designed to protect us from us as vague as possible. In fact, their laws are so vague anymore, they don't even bother reading them. They don't really say all that much anyhow. The rules for these laws are written by the new bureaucracies that they create, and the devil is in the unknown details. Dodd Frank, passed two years ago, and they are as of this writing, about half way through with deciding the totality of what it actually will inflict upon us. Obamacare, well let's just say that Nancy Pelosi's claim that we will love it once we found out what was in it has not exactly turned out to be the case. The clean air act is no exception to this rule. It was passed with the usual ambiguous language that said nothing besides the EPA would be free to write its own rules completely exempt from any type of oversight from any outside source, like the people affected by its decisions. It simply is another tool of the Executive Branch to divorce itself from the checks and balances system that was implied by the separation of powers.

This serves as that shining example of how the Republican strategists who have been planning on not winning the Presidency because they don't believe they can, but are planning on holding the House and winning the Senate are not only wrong, but dangerously so. In November of 2010 the American People served Barack Obama with a very pointedly worded restraining order. It came in the form of an historic swing of 63 House seats, 7 Senate seats, 11 Governors chairs, and 680 state legislature positions. After that restraining order was filed, it was effectively ignored via this very type of executive fiat. Cap and Trade was defeated in the Senate, and defeated soundly. Yet, here we are two years later and the Executive Branch, in the form of the EPA has found a way to inflict it upon us anyhow, as the current climate allows for the EPA to make up its own rules as it goes along.

These people are beyond dangerous, and we need to send them home this November.
